Camp Anahola is a surf camp ministry with the purpose of chal-lenging and equipping young men, from the ages of 14 to 20, to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are located within the residential community of the Hawaiian Homelands in Anahola Village.  Situated 13 miles north of the Lihue Airport and approximately 15 miles south of Hanalei Bay, the town of Anahola is considered as the entrance to the lush north shore of Kauai

The beautiful Anahola Bay is within steps of our base camp facility.  Kalalea Mountain, filmed in many movies including King Kong and Raiders of the Lost Ark, serves as our landmark backdrop.

Kauai has so much to offer in the way of outdoor activities and provides a fabulous setting for a variety of great surf adventures.  We do not limit ourselves to any one area of the Island or any one manner of surf experience, but we also enjoy paddleboarding, canoeing, diving, fishing, wake-boarding and more.

We won't exclude anyone based on surfing ability or pre-ferred choice of surf craft.  However, due to the potential for extreme rip currents or rapidly changing ocean conditions, we must require all campers to be strong swimmers.

Even though Camp Anahola is not designed as a traditional "surf school" camp, we are able to customize our Camp program to facilitate specific organizations (large or small) such as: church groups, ministry outreach teams, youth programs, surf/sport teams and others.

A typical day at Camp Anahola includes breakfast and private Bible readings, followed by staff-led devotions with camper interaction and discussion.  Our daily excursions take us to many different parts of the island for a variety of surf and water craft activities appropriate for swell and weather conditions.

After returning to base camp for dinner, evenings provide the setting for Bible studies and/or testimonies from staff members as well as campers and guest speakers from the Island and beyond.  Informal games, fellowship and hang out times continue throughout the evening until bed time.

Our bunkhouse facility serves as base camp headquarters and is furnished with 7 bunk beds, private lockers for personal items, outdoor showers and an outdoor kitchen with a large covered eating area.  From our base camp, two S.E.A. passenger vans escort us on our daily excursions, custom-fit to appropriately anticipate weather, wind and surf conditions.

Camp Anahola is hosted by Jimmy and Jennifer Rodelo.  Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Jen moved to the island of Kauai in 1989, where they raised their daugher Lee, son Miguel and Chance Kinney.

Jimmy serves as the youth pastor at Kappa Missionary Church in Kapaa, Hawaii.  He has received certifica-tions from the American Red Cross in: lifeguarding and first aid, lifeguard instructor/trainer, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, and is an authorized water safety instructor for the Hawaii State Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Camp sessions begin on Sunday morning @ 7:00 a.m. and end on Saturday evening @ 8:00 p.m.  Campers may schedule their pre-Camp arrival as early as Saturday afternoon and their post-camp departure on Sunday.

Camp tuition fees include lodging, all meals, drinks, snacks, participation in daily expeditions - both on and off site, use of camp equipment, laundry, pickup and delivery at the Lihue airport, 24-hour supervision and unforgettable experiences on the island of KauaiCamp fees do not include air trans-portation to the island of Kauai or personal spending money.

Each Camp session is limited to twelve (12) campers, and sessions can fill up quickly.

Airline flight arrivals should be scheduled to the  Lihue Airport (LIH) on Saturday afternoon or evening.  Flight departures from Kauai should be scheduled for Sunday late morning or in the afternoon.  S.E.A. staff personnel with passenger vans will pickup all incoming Campers at the Lihue Airport and deliver them to our base camp.  Post-camp outbound Campers will be returned to the airport and assisted with check-in procedures.

A copy of airline flight arrival/departure information, with a digital photograph of the Camper, MUST be emailed to our office no later than two (2) weeks prior to the start of the Camp session.
